What does peace look like in everyday life?

On May 20, people from around the world will come together online for Unite for Peace: a free global Zoom event featuring music, storytelling, conversation, and personal experiences from Rotary Peace Fellows, humanitarian leaders, refugee advocates, educators, and community builders.

This is not a political event. It is an opportunity to listen, reflect, and explore the human side of peace: resilience, dialogue, compassion, reconciliation, and hope.

This morning, members of Rotary of Windsor Walkerville walked through the neighbourhood sharing information about the City of Windsor’s Free Tree Program.

Sometimes community service starts with something simple: a coffee, a walk, and a conversation at the doorstep.

Trees do more than provide shade. They help reduce flooding, improve air quality, support wildlife, and make our neighbourhoods healthier and greener for future generations.

Thank you to everyone who joined the outreach this morning and helped spread the word throughout the community.

If you are interested in requesting a free street tree, contact Windsor 311 for more information.
